It is one of the native rice of tamilnadu.it is mainly grown in northeast region and southern parts of India.
It is also known as Emperor’s rice or forbidden rice as it was exclusively reserved for emperors and forbidden for others in ancient days.
Black rice has mild nutty flavor with chewy texture and is naturally gluten-free.

HOW TO COOK

Wash the rice and soak it overnight for at least 10 to 12 hours
Cook the rice with water with ratio 1:2 in a pressure cooker and cook for 3 whistles.
